Parent training courses for children under 6 years old with autism
No course dates currently planned – we are hoping to offer this course again in the future when we have more capacity in the team.
Learn practical tools to help your child interact and communicate with ‘More Than Words’ an online course developed by Hanen. This course is designed specifically for parents of children aged 5 and under on the autism spectrum and with other social communication difficulties.
For this course we offer:
- An individual pre-course consultation and assessment with a speech and language therapist
- Orientation session
- 8 personalised and small group workshops aimed to provide you with strategies and ideas for your child
- 3 one-to-one sessions with a speech and language therapist
- Weekly resources to support you and your child
Costs
Pre-course assessment and consultation: £100
8 group sessions and 3 individual sessions: £500 (paid in 4 instalments of £125 over the duration of the course).

Individual private therapy – bookings not currently available
Unfortunately we are not currently able to offer appointments to individual clients as the team are fully booked providing speech and language therapy services via school contracts and delivering the More Than Words Hanen programme. Should this situation change we will reopen bookings.
For teletherapy assessment, advice and intervention we can recommend Millie Clive. Following nearly 3 years with the Learning Talking team in London, Millie is now based in Spain where she works as an independent speech and language therapist offering sessions to the UK via teletherapy.
